ADULLACT was founded in 2002 with the aim of supporting and coordinating the efforts of local and regional authorities to promote, develop and maintain a heritage of open source software that is useful for public service missions.

ADULLACT, the only organisation of its kind in Europe, is an initiative born of the need to see an alternative to proprietary licences, particularly in the field of business software.

By setting up open-source IT projects that meet the specific needs of its members and coordinating local skills, ADULLACT aims to give concrete meaning to the idea of pooling resources.

With a conviction and a simple principle: public money should only pay once!
